Here's how to track a single job from discovery through offer using every tool Orbit provides.
1. Save the job
Paste the job URL into Orbit. The parser extracts company, role, and description automatically. Set status to Saved.
Do now: Read the description carefully. Add tags (remote, startup, dream company) and set priority.
2. Apply
Change status to Applied. Set the application date. Add a next action: "Follow up if no response" with a date 7 days out.
Do now: If you know anyone at the company, add them as a contact and link them to this job.
3. Build your resume
Go to Resume > select this job > AI Tailor. Orbit rewrites your resume to match the job description. Review the ATS score and adjust.
4. Wait and follow up
Orbit will remind you:
- Day 7: Follow-up reminder appears on your dashboard
- Day 14: Stale application warning
Use the "Suggest" button on the reminder to draft a follow-up email.
5. Screening call
Change status to Screening. Add a calendar event for the call. After the call, log notes and update the next action.
6. Interviews
Change status to Interviewing. Orbit auto-generates interview prep materials. Review:
- Company insights
- Likely questions
- Your talking points
- STAR stories to prepare
Schedule each interview round on the calendar. After each round, update notes.
7. Offer
Change status to Offer. Enter offer details in the War Room. If you have multiple offers, compare them side by side.
Career Mode: Accepting an offer activates Career Mode with a 90-day onboarding journal.

- Check the Today tab daily for action items
