Notes let you track important context about each contact that helps personalize your outreach.
What to track:
- How you met (referral, LinkedIn, event)
- Conversation topics and insights
- Their communication preferences
- Key dates (birthday, work anniversary)
- Hiring timeline or internal intel
How to add:
- Open a contact from the Contacts page
- Find the Notes field in the detail panel
- Type your notes — they save automatically
Where notes are used:
- AI features (Scout Chat, AI Draft, Follow-up Suggest) use contact notes as context
- Interview Prep includes contact info when generating materials
Tip: Update notes after every interaction. "Spoke 3/12 — she mentioned the team is expanding Q2" is more useful than "nice chat."
