Congratulations! An offer means your preparation paid off. Here's how to handle it well.

In Orbit

  1. Change the job status to "Offer"
  2. Enter offer details in the War Room: base salary, bonus, equity, benefits
  3. Check the deadline — How long do you have to respond?

If you have ONE offer

  • Don't accept immediately (unless it's your dream job and you're certain)
  • Take 24-48 hours to review
  • Use Scout Chat: "Help me evaluate this offer from [company]"
  • Check Trends > Insights > Salary Range to see how it compares

If you have MULTIPLE offers

  • Enter all offers in the War Room
  • Use the comparison tab to see them side by side
  • Consider: compensation, growth, culture, commute/remote, team, mission
  • Use the leverage tab for negotiation templates

Negotiation tips

  • Always negotiate. 85% of employers expect it.
  • Use data: "Based on market rates for this role in [city]..."
  • Negotiate base salary first, then bonus, then equity
  • Be professional and grateful — you're starting a relationship
  • Orbit's Compose templates have negotiation email drafts

After accepting

  • Change status to the final state
  • Career Mode activates — start your 90-day onboarding journal
  • Withdraw from other active jobs
  • Thank everyone who helped you (Orbit's follow-up reminders will remind you)

Enjoy this moment. You earned it.
