Contact types:
- Internal Recruiter — A recruiter who works at the hiring company
- Agency Recruiter — A recruiter at a third-party staffing agency
- Executive Recruiter — A recruiter at a senior-level search firm
- Hiring Manager — The person who would manage you in the role
- Referral — Someone who referred you or can provide a referral
- Connection — A general professional contact
Relationship strength:
A colored dot on each contact card shows how active the relationship is:
- Green — Recent interaction (within 7 days)
- Yellow — Cooling off (7 to 14 days)
- Gray — Cold (14 or more days)
Why types matter:
Follow-up reminders prioritize hiring managers and referrals over general connections. Contact types also affect how items are ranked in Today Focus.
