Search with AI matching

Find jobs and contacts by meaning, not just keywords, using AI-powered search.

Set up AI search:

1. Go to Settings > Preferences > AI Provider
2. Enter your OpenAI API key
3. Orbit indexes your jobs and contacts automatically in the background

What you can search for:

• Similar jobs — Find jobs in your pipeline that are similar to a specific one
• Contacts for a job — Find the best people in your network for a particular role
• Resume match — See which jobs best match your resume profile
• Scout context — Scout AI uses this search to give you more relevant advice

Index existing data:

If you added jobs before setting up your API key:

1. Go to Settings > Preferences
2. Click Backfill Embeddings
3. Orbit processes your existing jobs and contacts in batches

Tip: The more complete your job descriptions and contact notes are, the more accurate your search results will be.
