AI features for financial runway

Runway includes two AI features to help you manage your finances during a job search.

Paste a bank statement:

1. Go to Tools > Runway > Expenses
2. Click Paste Statement (the purple button next to Add Expense)
3. Paste your bank or credit card statement text
4. Click Parse and AI extracts and categorizes your expenses
5. Review the list and click Add All to import them

AI categorizes each expense into one of 14 categories (housing, food, transportation, etc.) and rounds amounts automatically.

Salary negotiation advisor:

When you have a job at the offer stage with salary data:

1. Open the job in the Job Modal
2. Below the salary field, you see Salary Negotiation
3. Click Analyze Offer
4. AI considers your runway (savings, expenses, income) alongside the offer
5. You get: urgency level, strategic advice, a suggested counter-offer, talking points, and a risk assessment

The advisor tells you whether you can afford to negotiate or should lean toward accepting based on your financial runway.

Tip: Make sure your Runway data is up to date before using the salary advisor. Accurate expenses and savings lead to better advice.
