After 5 or more rejections, Orbit analyzes your rejection data to identify patterns and help you focus on jobs where you are more likely to succeed.
How it works:
- Continue tracking your applications normally
- When you reach 5+ rejected jobs, the analysis becomes available
- Open the Pipeline Intelligence widget on the Dashboard
- The Rejection Patterns section appears automatically
What gets analyzed:
- Tag correlations — Which tags (remote, startup, enterprise, etc.) appear most in your rejections vs. your successes
- Priority patterns — Whether high, medium, or low priority jobs have different rejection rates
- Location patterns — Geographic trends in your rejections
- Velocity insights — How quickly rejections happen compared to your successful applications
What you learn:
The analysis highlights which types of jobs you tend to succeed at and which types lead to more rejections. This helps you refine your strategy and spend time on higher-probability opportunities.
No AI needed:
Rejection pattern analysis works entirely offline using your pipeline data. No API key required.
Requirements:
- 5 or more jobs in "Rejected" status
Tip: Do not take rejection patterns personally. The analysis is designed to help you optimize your search strategy, not judge your abilities. Sometimes a pattern simply reveals that you should target different company sizes or industries.
