Paste an interview confirmation email and Orbit automatically creates a calendar event with all the details filled in.
How it works:
- Open the event quick capture (click + on the Calendar or press the keyboard shortcut)
- A smart textarea appears by default
- Paste the full interview confirmation email
- Click Parse
- AI extracts: company name, role, date, time, duration, location or video link, interviewer name, and any notes
- The form auto-fills with the extracted data
- Review and save the event
If AI cannot find a date or company, you see an error and can switch to manual entry.
What gets extracted:
- Title — "Interview: [Company] ([Role])"
- Date and time — From the email, with 1 hour default duration if not specified
- Location — Address or Zoom/Teams/Meet link
- Notes — Format details, panel info, preparation instructions
Click Add manually at any time to skip the AI step and fill in the form yourself.
Tip: Forward interview confirmation emails to yourself and paste the full text. The more detail in the email, the more accurately AI fills in the event.
