Billing email notifications

Orbit sends transactional emails to keep you informed about your subscription. Here is every billing email you may receive.

Welcome email: Sent when you create your account. Confirms your signup and introduces Orbit.

Payment receipt: Sent after every successful charge. Includes the amount, plan name, and a link to your invoice.

Trial ending warning: Sent 3 days before your free trial ends. Gives you time to add a payment method or cancel before you are charged.

Subscription confirmed: Sent when your trial converts to an active paid subscription. Confirms your plan and billing frequency.

Upcoming renewal reminder: Sent before your renewal date so there are no surprises on your statement.

Card expiring soon: Sent approximately 1 month before your card on file expires. Update your payment method in Settings > Billing to avoid a failed charge.

Plan change confirmation: Sent when you switch between plans (Pro to Ultra, monthly to yearly, etc.). Shows your new plan, effective date, and any prorated amount.

Payment failed (dunning): Sent when a payment attempt fails. Includes the reason (if available), the retry schedule, and a link to update your payment method. Stripe retries failed payments automatically over several days.

Cancellation confirmation: Sent when you cancel your subscription. Confirms that your access continues until the end of the current billing period and that no further charges will occur.

Reactivation confirmation: Sent when you undo a pending cancellation. Confirms that your subscription will renew as normal.

Refund confirmation: Sent when a refund is processed on one of your invoices. Includes the refund amount and the original invoice reference.

Coaching and career tip emails

In addition to billing emails, Pro subscribers receive weekly career tips and Ultra subscribers receive AI coaching emails. These are not billing notifications. You can unsubscribe from them using the link at the bottom of any coaching or career tip email, or by toggling them off in Settings > Preferences.

Managing notifications

Billing emails cannot be unsubscribed because they contain legally required transaction information. If you are not receiving billing emails, check your spam folder and make sure your account email is correct in Settings > Profile.
