Back up and restore your data

Orbit automatically saves snapshots of your data so you can roll back if something goes wrong.

Create a backup:

  1. Go to Settings > Your Data
  2. Find the Backup section
  3. Click Create Backup to take a snapshot right now
  4. Or turn on auto-backup to save snapshots on a schedule

Manage your backups:

  • View all snapshots with their date and size
  • Click Restore on any snapshot to roll back your data to that point
  • Click Delete to remove old snapshots and free up space
  • A storage indicator shows how much space your backups use

What happens when you restore:

Orbit replaces your current data with the snapshot, syncs the restored data to the cloud, and reloads the page.

Tip: Create a manual backup before making big changes, like bulk deleting jobs or clearing data. You can undo the change by restoring the snapshot.
